Umbra Loft Magazine Rack

January 11th, 2009

I have been looking for an inexpensive way to store the magazines piling up on my coffee table for awhile now. And, that search has brought me to the Umbra Magazine Rack from Target. At $30, it looks to be a pretty affordable solution.  I saw one at my local store, or you can pick one up online at target.com.

LG LHX

January 7th, 2009

CES 2009 is here. And while Gizmodo and Engadget have the show more than adequately covered, I thought I would highlight some nice guy decor friendly products that come out of the show. The first is the LG LHX (pictured above). This is a really nice departure from their Scarlet series of TVs (which I did not care for).  The new design is simple and modern, and the inclusion of wireless HDMI will make wall mounting that much easier.  Read more about it at Gizmodo.

CB2 Scan Lounge Chair

January 5th, 2009

CB2 is showing off some new items for 2009 at CB2.com. One of the first items that caught my eye was the Scandinavian design inspired Scan Lounge Chair.  It features a solid oak frame matched with grey upholstery.  The classic design would fit in any modern decor.

West Elm’s Wood Wall Art

December 16th, 2008

I was looking over some of the new products at West Elm and came across the overlapping-squares wood wall art.  I like that they are simple and have a classic pattern that would look good just about anywhere. They are $59 for a set of four 12″ square blocks.

Sharp Aquos LCD

December 12th, 2008

I have been looking for a 46″ 120Hz LCD for awhile now, but have not really found one that I thought had a nice, simple design that would match my decor. Today, I came across the redesigned Sharp Aquos LCD that just might work. The curved bottom (which I was not a huge fan of) has been replaced by a simple, square bezel.  I think that this would look nice in a modern interior.  Now, I just need to go see it in person.

Imaginary Foundation Skate Decks

December 9th, 2008

I am not much of a skater, but I think that the Imaginary Foundation Skate Decks would look pretty cool mounted on the wall. They come in four varieties for $60 a piece.

The Poster List’s Skull Guitars

December 4th, 2008

The Poster List is another great place to find unique posters for your walls. The piece above, Skull Guitars (look for July 31, 2006), is just one example of their work. At $10.99 for a 12″x18″ poster, it is pretty affordable, as well.

Purchase at theposterlist.com.

A+R Trophy Hangers

December 2nd, 2008

The NOTCOT 2008 Gift Guide features this hilarious accessory and I could not resist posting it here. From A+R, Phil Cuttance’s Trophy Hangars feature the miniature head and the bum of a moose (and other animals) on a plaque for use as coat hooks.  They would make a good conversation piece in the entry to your home.

You can purchase them for $50 at the A+R store. [via the NOTCOT 2008 Gift Guide]

NOTCOT Gift Guide 2008

December 2nd, 2008

I do not have the time nor inclination to do a guydecor gift guide this year. And, if I did I probably would not even come close to the effort put out by the NOTCOT Gift Guide. So, if you are looking for a gift, check it out on notcot.org. I will probably feature a few of the items that I like, so stay tuned.
